Thanks for such great tool....Currently we are facing issue related to Query multiple executions and informed on this codeflex forum...but no one is look into this to resolve

Guys if you already have solution for this...Could you please share us/post the code....

Great tool however is seems to execute the MDX query 2x number of threads.
E.g. Threads = 1; Test Profile = All queries on each thread (filename order)
executes each MDX file 2 times

(the thread index may be starting from 0 and we are passing 1?)

Hi,

Can someone tell me what could have caused these exception in the Result Report. e.g. below is one of my MDX report output in the workbench, and it can be run in SSMS; the profiler shows it run 52572 (duration column, millisecond); all my 9 queries show run successfuly in sql profiler; but each one of them shows the "timed out exception" in the performance Workbench.

XML for Analysis parser: The XML for Analysis request timed out before it was completed. Server: The operation has been cancelled. when I run the same group of test for 2nd time (did not clear the cache), some queries did not have the exception. and I noticed all of them run below 30,000; so I think this is related to "ForceCommitTimeout" SSAS property because I noticed the value for the property is 30,000; but I am not certain.

How the result report shall be interpreted in this error exception? Shall we change the property to be a lot larger value if it is related to it?

As mentioned in the discussion (TAB), I've uploaded the solution for "time-out" issue and the new solution also includes SSAS 2012 counters.

Created Issue: "Think time" settings [1105]

The documentation reads "Think Time. If think time is entered, each thread will pause for a random number of seconds between the range given before submitting its next query."

However it is set by default and does not allow value 0 = "don't think", which could come quite useful with testing a small query run multiple times.

Thank you for the fantastic work on this and my apologies for the little contribution (just raising rather than fixing the challenges) unfortunately I am flat out on another assignment at the moment.

Created Issue: Error handling with the Clear Cache [1104]

We have had an issue on the server the ASSP library used for the Clear Cache. The dll was not installed properly and was not clearing the cache (error message was appearing in the profiler during the operation) however the information from the app reads "ASSP.ClearAllCaches() completed" which is a bit misleading.

Not a major issue as long as you are aware.

Created Issue: Perf Counters from SSAS 2008 not being found... [290]

When i start the counters it throws some messages saying the there was an error processing the counter [MSAS 2008:Memory......

Anyone experiencing this?

Do i have to be an administrator?

After typing in SSAS-Instance or Database, i get the Error:
Assembly "Microsoft.AnalysisServices,Version=10.0.0.0,..." not found. In AS Workbench i choosed "Analysis Services 200". The error sounds like i need to install SSAS 2008. Is that right?

My configuration:
SQL Server 2005 + BIDS
